Beavers in Chilton

The 2nd Chilton Beaver Colony started in January 2007 with 8 Beavers and we have continued to grow over the last 12 months - the section now has 15 Beavers.

We have 2 Lodges; Blue and Red. Over the past year we have worked towards the Experimenter Badge and the Emergency Aid Badge and some of the Beavers gained their Nights Away (1) badge when they stayed at the Village Hall for a sleepover last June.  Many of the Beavers have also gained their Outdoor and Creative Challenge badges.

On our Colony nights we have done the following activities;

• Barbequing sausages

• A visit to the Donkey Sanctuary

• A joint astronomy evening with the Cubs and Scouts

• A visit to Wantage Police station

• Planting bulbs for parents for Christmas

• A visit from the Wild Waste Bus

• Baking cakes and an apple pie

.....to name a few! And mainly we just have fun!
