Plumpton 08

In July 2008 we ventured into Sussex and to the village of Plumpton. 1st Plumpton Scout Group had kindly given us permission to use their fantastic camp site and hut, along with all their equipment for our 5 day Summer camp. This was a trip down memory lane for Mr X as this was his old troop when he was a scout and still has connections with the village............he got a warm shower at his folks house every morning!!! We had great fun exploring the local area and enjoying the camp site to practice activities such as fire lighting and pioneering. Even pitching the tents when we arrived proved a challenge. We spent a day in Lewes having taken the train into the town and using the time to explore the surroundings. Big thanks goes to Rod and all at Plumpton for making us feel very welcome.
