Ridgeway Hike 08

This was our first year exploring the Ridgeway National Trial. We meet on the afternoon on day one at a location on the Ridgeway just South of Childrey. We covered a little over 6km on the first afternoon hiking to our stop over point at Courthill Youth Hostel. Having spent a great night at Courthill and the patrols cooking chilli in a cook off competition we set off on day 2 having to cover a further 14km back home to Chilton. The weather remained fine and dry and the scouts enjoyed their first hike trip.
